We're Conducting A Survey

Just like our cooperative, ecoLINK has a concern for our communities.  We recognize that rural areas would not be served if we didn't step up.  ecoLINK has and will continue to build 100% fiber internet service to locations where no other providers will.

• We completed our build to members of East Central Electric Cooperative last July (2023).
  

• We are now building in locations where we have previously  won grant money to serve.

ecoLINK is conducting a Speed Test Survey in areas across the East Central Electric Cooperative service territory that are reported as "served" by other providers, but may not actually be getting the speeds or service that they should.  Results will be compiled and submitted to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).  If speeds are found to be lacking this could allow for ecoLINK to apply for grant funds.  If won, grant funds would be used to build service to these areas to ensure they are served with the appropriate speeds, affordable prices and reliable service from ecoLINK.  If you live in an area within the East Central Electric service area, but are not able to receive ecoLINK, please take the Speed Test Survey. 

The survey:

• will be used to challenge the claims of existing providers.
• results could open up areas/communities for future grant opportunities, such as the Federal Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD) Program.
• will be shared via social media, ecoLINK website, and email.
