Going Where Others Won't: Groundbreaking in Slick, OK
8:56AM September 13, 2024
We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our mission to bring high-speed internet to underserved communities. Tuesday, September 10, 2024, ecoLINK broke ground in Slick, Oklahoma, marking the beginning of a transformative project that will connect nearly 300 homes and businesses with cutting-edge fiber optic technology.
We were honored to be joined by state legislators, including Speaker-designee Kyle Hilbert, along with local officials and congressional field staff, to celebrate this achievement. The project is made possible through a $2.9 million federal grant administered by the Oklahoma Broadband Office (OBO).
The funds, awarded earlier this year from the ARPA State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) by the Oklahoma Broadband Governing Board, will enable us to bring reliable, high-speed internet to the rural town of Slick, helping to bridge the digital divide and empower the local community.
Stay tuned for updates as we continue building the future of connectivity in Oklahoma!
